This Privacy Policy describes how Blox Scribe ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website, application, and Roblox Studio plugin (the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

Account information via Clerk (email address, username)
Payment information processed by Stripe (we do not store card details)
Prompts and messages you submit to the chat interface

Information from the Studio plugin

Your Roblox Explorer tree structure (instance names and hierarchy) — used to generate accurate script placement instructions
Your Roblox account ID, used to link your Studio session to your Blox Scribe account

Automatically collected

Basic usage data (pages visited, feature usage) for product improvement
Authentication cookies managed by Clerk

2. How We Use Your Information

To generate Luau scripts and placement instructions using your Explorer tree context
To authenticate your account and manage your subscription
To store your conversation history so you can reference past scripts
To communicate with you about your account, updates, or support
To prevent abuse and maintain platform security

We do not sell your personal information.

3. AI Processing

Prompts, messages, and Explorer tree data you submit are sent to OpenAI to generate responses. OpenAI's privacy policy governs how they handle that data. We use gpt-5.4 via the OpenAI API. We do not use your inputs to train AI models.

4. Data Storage

Your conversation history, messages, projects, and Explorer tree context are stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Neon. Data is stored in the US. We retain this data as long as your account is active.

5. Third-Party Services

Clerk — authentication and user management
Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing
OpenAI — AI script generation
Neon — database hosting
Vercel — application hosting

Each third party operates under their own privacy policy.

6. Children's Privacy

Blox Scribe is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Request a portable copy of your data

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
